and may I just add, a “marvelous coping tool.” when used in all the right places..
Denial always turns out to be discomforting,not the way to go….whether in the political arena (so prevalent),personally or the denial by parents of the sins of their sons.
It is a temporary salve but,in the face of evidence,impossible to maintain.
I heard Kitty Carlisle interviewed once on the subject and she didn’t use as an excuse, but for her as it is for me, a coping tool.
