I have been involved in women’s issues for over 50 years. I was trained by the state of New Jersey as a volunteer with the police department on a domestic violence crisis intervention team, volunteered also on a rape crisis team with the local hospital and served on a women’s hot line called Women In Self Help. My mother taught me at a very young age to give back to the community. When my husband died so suddenly, I was shattered and could no longer stay in New Jersey. I had choices to make and moved to New York City to create a new life. Family and friends are my emotional transfusions, and I am so grateful for all I have in my life. With age, wisdom sometimes arrives at the same time, and I wish to pass on some of my experiences and observations.
I designed a line of clothing called Sensuous Sweats and was featured in the New York Times and Harper’s Bazaar, and shop in my closet. I have practiced yoga for over 35 years, and been a vegetarian for as long. Also in the process of trying to get an 80,000 word novel that I wrote with my co-author published. I have written articles on grief and interfaith issues, on http://interfaithfamily.com .
The purpose of doing this blog is intended to be an inspiration to men and women of all ages. Many subjects will be explored. I appreciate and welcome all comments and will reply.

Your bio is very impressive. And you write so well. What ever happened to your book? Today, you don’t need a publisher. I recently read in the Wall Street Journal how so many people are now just doing it on line. After my book was published, I found a man who converted my book into an ebook for the Kindle very reasonably. He would have done it for the Nook too but I didn’t follow through with that option.
If you go to Amazon.com, you can publish thru them, and probably thru the Nook too.
